WasteMyRecords is back one more time with a new sound, a new band, a new album, one more time with feeling! When living in Murcia in the desert, I got hold of a 5 piece jazz quintet from the capital Antwerp which blew my mind: Unfinished Business! When I returned to the old town, I went checking them out and they drove me crazy with their jazz boogie! So we got to know each other and I called a good Amiga of mine to sell her my cheap thrills & asked her to step into the this great jazz journey and she did! And so the Waste Triangle was born: WasteMyRecords Antwerp Label, Rumoer bookings & Unfinished Business! We smoked a cigar, drank some WasteMyWine and screamed it out: this is what music is all about, some extremely fun journey with extremely talented young jazz cats! The release of the EP featuring 4 songs, bitte listen below, was the perfect introduction for the skills of the this new jazz collective and immediately put the band in pole position concerning new Antwerp jazz sounds!

The EP contains tracks Oooowee, Avatamsaka, Zahnoun & Ona are killer tracks, my advice : look them up @ Spotify, listen & learn! I did the same….

Autumn 2024: Unfinished Business played 10 festivals featuring Gent Jazz, Groot Verlof Leuven, Theater aan Zee Oostende! Now the summer is gone and we are ready for some serious recording shit! Next stop, Oct 2024, time to lock ourselves up in the studio, afterwards some mastering and by mid 2025 there we will be a new Antwerp stew with THE REBIRTH OF COOL: the DEBUT ALBUM of UNFINISHED BUSINESS!

Who the fuck is UNFINISHED BUSINESS the new jazz hype in ANTWERP?

DO NOT THINK OF TAXIWARS, DANS DANS, STUFF, DE BEREN GIEREN, NORDMANN, PAARD, NAFT, KAMEEL, LANDER & ADRIAAN, BERAADGESLAGEN, SCHNTZL, STADT etc…but really think USA JAZZ 1940-1960 with names like Donald Byrd, Billy Cobham, Lee Morgan, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, Miles Davis & Led Zeppelin! The REAL THING u know!

Also their spin-off PROJECTS are hitting the rock n jazz clock, like LUCID LUCIA or THE FELA KUTI CELEBRATION BAND with their funky afrobeat vibes ahead!
